General Property Description

Pincho is located some 12 km. above the town of Lagos. Very easy access all over tarmac roads. The part of the Algarve is an oasis of rest and quietness. On the land a project of cleaning and planting trees has been carried out. Also a large lake was constructed. Pincho is reached over the EN 120 Lagos – Aljezur. In the first case 7km. after the village of Bensafrim is a turn to Pincho. Access over a new road; part of a tourist route trying to promote the Portuguese countryside. This road is linked with the road from Odeaxere to Marmelete. The last 1,5 km. Is on a dirt track. Building permission: Most of the land in this area is subject to the PROTAL legislation and the local PDM (planning consent of Lagos). This property is situated in an area classified as agro-Florestal de protecção. Electricity will be in the area in the near future. Water: On the property exists a large Barragem (lake). Florestal project: In 1998 the property was totally cleaned, roads were made and a planting project was carried out in January 2000. Thousands of trees a mixture of cork and pine were planted and added to the existing ones. These are merely cork trees and medronho. In the future a good income can be obtained, first from the pine pits and at a later stage by selling the wood. In years to come the property will grow to a little forest and will be very beautiful. Drinking water is not available from the mains, however water from lake could be used, as modern purification equipment is available at the moment at reasonable prices through reversed osmosis.
